The hugely successful Roar B2B Exhibition, now in its third year, is an opportunity for businesses in Cambridgeshire and surrounding counties to promote their products and services, and build connections with other local organisations. Alongside the speed networking, this year the Exhibition presents two topical seminars involving a range of business leaders and experts in their field.
Chris Mann, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Drivetime Presenter, is set to Chair the first panel seminar – ‘The Way Forward: Cambridgeshire post-election’.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mr Mann said: “It’s a hugely important time for Cambridgeshire as it faces so many challenges, both here and abroad. Therefore, it is vital that business has its say and plays its part in deciding the future of our area. I am delighted that such a quality panel is coming together to talk about the big issues at the Business-to-Business Seminar: the economy, our infrastructure and housing, skills and apprenticeships, and of course Brexit. I am looking forward to hearing what our panel have to say and I shall be encouraging the audience to make their points too.”
Currently, the guest panellists include John Bridge OBE, CEO of the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce; Paul Gibson, co-owner of Go Vocal media and the Cambridge Champagne Company; and Samantha Sales, owner of Call HR Ltd.
In the wake of the latest blast of cyber-attacks, it is timely that Greg Sewell will present the second seminar, which examines the latest in cyber security, the threats to industry and what can be done to safeguard businesses. Greg is the Managing Director of Cambridge Networks, an independent computer consultancy, specialising in providing Service Support and Supply of computing solutions for small to medium sized businesses. His experience in the IT industry spans 25 years, during which he worked for several large corporates before starting Cambridge Networks in 1998.
Cambridge Roar Festival Chairman and Founder, Tony Murdock, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming the business community again to the Roar B2B after two very successful years. The event continues to grow and I’m delighted to say we are very close to selling out except for two last stands. We currently have 62 stands confirmed and over 100 delegates registered, which is fantastic. The event is free to attend for delegates and there are many opportunities to walk away with some nice prizes just for dropping off your business card.”
The Cambridge Roar Festival, now in its fourth year, raises money for local charities by staging several high-profile events within the grounds of the Quy Mill Hotel and Spa at Stow Cum Quy. The Business-to-Business Exhibition is one of 12 events taking place between 17 June and 30 September 2017.
