Barratt Homes' Trumpington Meadows marketing suite redesigned by Provoke Me

Leading property developer, Barratt Homes has recently begun work on a new phase of home-building at Trumpington Meadows, Cambridge. The management team decided to refurbish and redesign the interior of their sales and marketing suite and appointed Provoke Me to oversee the project and to help turn their creative ideas into a reality.

When Barratt Homes began phase 2 of the Trumpington Meadows property development, It became clear to the management team that the marketing suite, having served its purpose well over the previous years, was now in need of a dramatic overhaul.

The existing spaces inside were under-utilised and had a rather 'cold' atmosphere to them - not particularly conducive to families wishing to buy a new home. The overall impression was more like a museum and less like a comfortable and engaging customer experience.

Simon Wheeler of Provoke Me says: "Following our initial meeting with the client, we understood the overall objectives and had a clear vision about how the new customer journey could be created in the sales centre.

"We appointed Cambridge fit-out specialists, COEL to undertake the initial plans and then submitted these to the customer, together with our concepts for a range of new wall-graphics to help tell the Barratt Homes story.

"The plans included the judicious use of carpet instead of the existing wooden floors, soft acoustic baffles suspended from the ceiling to help noise absorption, new lighting, replacement of all furniture and the creation of several distinct customer 'zones'.

"We designed a space for customers to make their decisions, whilst children play on iPads behind a sound-proof screen.

"Another area is like a coffee lounge, complete with background music and luxurious drinks point - with wall art explaining the benefits of living at Trumpington Meadows.

"The use of soft furnishings throughout lends the whole space a feeling of comfort and 'homeliness' and the colour palette of grey and green ensures that everything is 'on-brand'."

The team at Provoke Me acted as the single, central point of contact throughout the project, co-ordinating suppliers, overseeing the quality of the installation and resolving any issues that arose throughout the works.

If you'd like to see the results for yourself, pop along to the Marketing Suite at Trumpington Meadows - it's open daily from 10am.
