'Behavioural training' in China sees people questioning the very next day !

If you have ever presented in China there seems to be a lot of note-taking (almost word for word) and then a thank you and you hear no more... until now....

I am amazed and encouraged by the change we saw within a day of giving our 'head turning' event to a group of delegates in the mid west of China in October. The session was a light hearted look at behavioural psychology and the impact on work.  As part of a risk management and improvement programme, we delivered this in two 45-minute hard hitting sessions with examples of how we behave and why and what we can do about it at work.

Within a day of delivering the programme we had both management and front line workers discussing this and how to manage it along with questions and lots of high fives as they remembered some key points and kept repeating them to each other and us !

We have recently revisited the company and have actually seen some work practices changed as a result of the course. They have confirmed they are working more efficiently and this is now being disucssed within the wider group of companies accross China.

To have the senior management challenged is not usual at all in China but for them to understand how behaviours can impact on us all at work and to both accept and engage with the programme has been a hugely positive step for the company, the people and the group.
