Birketts passes ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification with flying colours

At the end of last month, the firm sailed through rigorous BSI audits across its Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich and Norwich offices to achieve accreditation. The ISO 9001 certification is great news for Birketts, especially in light of its continued growth, demonstrating both sustained competency and consistency in excellence across its processes and procedures.

A quality management system accreditation such as ISO 9001 also shows the firm’s continuing commitment to improving every aspect of its business operations (including client care, resilience and sustainability) by measuring it against the appropriate regulatory guidelines.

Specifically, the qualification demonstrates that Birketts have established a clear framework and accompanying documentation process which will assist the organisation in maintaining excellence. Such a certification shows that Birketts is robust enough to withstand change, boasts an efficient internal reviewing process and holds a clear grasp of the data that will facilitate meaningful improvement within the firm.

Birketts is particularly proud to have completed the entire seven day assessment period with 0 nonconformities, 0 opportunities for improvement and a number of mentions of best practice – feedback which is rarely heard of in the context of a certification audit.

Sarah Ralph, Risk and Compliance Director (pictured), commented: “The accreditation demonstrates the focus that Birketts LLP has on client care and quality of service. We work tirelessly to achieve the quality standards that clients, employees and stakeholders demand and this rigorous assessment ensures these standards are maintained.”

Rebecca Moran, Information Security Manager at Birketts concluded: “Such an achievement speaks to Birketts’ culture of excellence – to have its QMS recognised in this manner makes a clear statement about the firm’s reliability as well as its capacity to deliver on its contractual responsibilities to its clients. Impeccable record keeping, dedicated operational support teams and outstanding training programs are underpinned at every level by expert professionalism and a clear pride in what we do. I want to extend a huge thank you to all of our colleagues who took part in the audits over the last two weeks, who have shown exactly why Birketts deserve to be certified to a globally recognised standard.”
