The Inspirational Business title is one of nine award categories with nominees put forward by EAAA staff. A special staff panel then whittle down the nominations to three per category; five categories are decided by the EAAA judging team and the remaining four categories are then put out to a public vote.
Phillipa Levy, Special Events Fundraiser for EAAA, said: “The EAAA Inspiration Awards are always a highlight in our events calendar, as it allows us to give something back to our community and share their incredibly inspirational stories. However, narrowing down the list of nominations and deciding a formal ‘winner’ really is an impossible task, we just want to share some joy with our community and highlight those who have inspired us along the way.”
She continued: “Birketts have been shortlisted as one of three nominees within the ‘Inspirational Business’ category due to the support that they showed EAAA during the Covid-19 crisis. They turned this around the same day, as well as offering the document free of charge to all air ambulances in the country, helping to save valuable time and money to get doctors helping in different parts of the NHS. Pulling together and working as a team is so important during this difficult time and we are extremely proud of Birketts for doing their bit to help! Votes can be made online here, with voting closing Friday 15 May.
Winners will be announced on the EAAA website and social media accounts on Friday 22 May, once all of the winners have been contacted by phone. They will receive a commemorative certificate by post with an official EAAA Inspiration Award trophy to be presented to the winners at a future date when it is safe to do so.
