Blue Chip Technology launches innovative embedded systems platform at UK conference

Blue Chip Technology will introduce a new generation embedded systems platform at the UK Device Developers' Conference next week - Reading / Cambridge 12th and 14th May.

Leading industrial computer board manufacturer, Blue Chip Technology has announced that it intends to launch its new MyT1 LCD embedded systems platform at this year’s UK Device Developers’ Conference.  The MyT1 LCD is an entirely integrated hardware solution that combines a powerful industrial-grade single board computer with a flat panel display and stylish plastic bezel.

The UK Device Developers' Conference is a one-day conference for engineers and computer scientists involved in the development of intelligent systems and devices. It is an event that explores the very latest tools and technologies available and includes a vendor exhibition, half-day technical workshops and a series of informative technical presentations.

“We will be showing a new concept in embedding computing for the first time at the conference,” said Barry Husbands, Managing Director of Blue Chip Technology.

“The solution is based on our new MyT1 SBC which is combined with either a 4.3" or 7" touch screen LCD. What makes it special is that we package up the plastic bezel, mount, SBC, LCD and cabling together to make development and installation easier than ever before. Literally just add software to complete your product.”

Pricing for the MyT1 LCD starts at just under £100 plus delivery and VAT for 100 off of the 4.3" touch screen version. Blue Chip Technology regards this as extremely competitive for an embedded systems platform that is both feature rich and designed for the demands of industrial applications.

Ubuntu Linux and Android Operating Systems are currently supported on this platform. Blue Chip Technology also has an in-house software team that is able to provide support for a range of other operating systems.

The Device Developers’ Conference is to take place in Reading, Cambridge, Warrington and Uphall (Scotland) during May and June 2015.  The Conference, including the technical presentations, is free to engineers and technical project managers. A small charge is made for places on the half-day technical workshops.
