The Innovation Conference will showcase world leading innovation and research within the theme of growing cities and building resilience. Papers from academia and industry are now being accepted for inclusion.
fvProjections show that urbanization combined with the overall growth of the world's population could add another 2.5 billion people to urban populations by 20501; Can we build our way out of trouble or do we make better use of the assets we have by adopting new technologies?
Papers are invited that showcase the novel and innovative advancements in the practice of civil engineering that meet the growing needs of urban populations. Prospective authors are invited to submit two page in-depth abstracts relating to any of the relevant themes or topics for review by a panel.
These are:
- Best practice; design, construction, buildability, sustainability, value and maintenance
- Forensic engineering
- Innovative techniques or solutions
- Research innovations
The project or research must have taken place in the Midlands, or, the work, project or research team (or individuals) must be based in the Midlands.
