Cambourne hosts hi-tech Developers' Conference

This year's Cambridge Device Developers' Conference is to be hosted at the Belfry Hotel in Cambourne on Thursday 14th May.

Many of the world's leading developers of the tools and technologies used by hi-tech engineers will be exhibiting and presenting at this year's UK Device Developers' Conference to be held at the Belfry Hotel, Cambourne on Thursday 14th May.

The conference is an annual event for developers of intelligent systems and devices and a chance for them to explore new technologies, learn new skills and meet with top industry experts.

"This is a leading UK event for the Embedded Systems industry', said Richard Blackburn, Conference Organiser. The term 'embedded' refers to the fact that most intelligent devices have a microprocessor embedded within the electronics. This conference explores the tools and technologies required for the development of embedded systems, such as debug tools, realtime operating systems, touchscreen technology, compilers, bios code, single board computers and manufacturing services. The delegates that attend range from medical device developers, to engineers from major car companies."

Two leading topics for this year's Conference will be 'Device to Cloud Connectivity' and 'Software Safety and Certification'. The conference offers half-day workshops covering both topics, presented by industry experts with real world experience. Other topics on the agenda include developing with touch based input sensing, designing software components for easy re-use, model driven development and software version control.

Key sponsors of the Conference include German debug tool company Lauterbach, UK computer board manufacturer Blue Chip Technology and display technology experts Intelligent Display Solutions. The Conference will include a number of half-day technical workshops, two streams of presentations from industry experts, and a tabletop exhibition of tools and technologies.

"What we try to create each year, is a forum where engineers and computer scientists can find answers to current challenges, discover new technologies and be informed of new trends and developments," said Richard Blackburn. "We work hard to create a worthwhile and productive event, as we fully understand how developers are often working to deadlines and that their time is an important resource."

The Device Developers’ Conference is free to attend for engineers, computer scientists and technical managers, but a small charge is made for places on the half-day technical workshops. In 2015 the Conference will take place will also take place in Reading, Manchester and Uphall (Scotland) during May and June 2015. The Conference is free to engineers and technical project managers,
