Cambridge Ahead releases new video: ‘Unlocking future Growth for Cambridge’

Cambridge Ahead's new video offers a summary of the breakfast seminar event hosted by its member, Bidwells, earlier this month at the Møller Centre, Churchill College, Cambridge.

The six minute video  ‘Unlocking future Growth for Cambridge’ is most notable for the insight into Cambridge Ahead's Growth project which analyses the city's economy, plus the preview of The Case for Cambridge. This is a structured argument aimed at Central Government to support greater investment with the aim of allowing the area to achieve its full economic potential.

Four speakers featured, including two from Cambridge Ahead:

  • Independent consultant Steve Mallen (Cambridge Property Trends update),
  • Cllr Lewis Herbert, Leader of Cambridge City Council (What the City Deal could deliver for Cambridge)
  • Matthew Bullock, Master of St Edmund’s College and Member of CA (Phase 1 analysis of the Cambridge Economy and its recent Growth)
  • Jane Paterson-Todd, CEO of CA (Preview of The Case for Cambridge).

The video then concludes with short interviews of Ian Mather, Chairman of CA, and three of the speakers. The Case for Cambridge has been created by a representative partnership of key Business, Academic and Local Government organisations from the Cambridge sub-region. It will be presented to Government shortly and a prospectus will be made available in due course.
