Running from Saturday 15 November to Monday 15 December, the campaign will collect donations to support the society’s community partners: Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, Jimmy’s Cambridge, It Takes a City, and Emmaus Cambridge to provide a little magic and comfort at Christmas to vulnerable people across the local area.
Participation is simple - visit one of its branches or Head Office, choose a tag from the Christmas Giving Tree and purchase the gift or essential item listed on the tag, before returning the donation to the branch or Head Office. The Cambridge will then deliver it to the charities.
Katie Robinson, Community Engagement Specialist, at The Cambridge, said:
“Christmas is a time for giving and supporting one another. Our Giving Tree campaign is a wonderful opportunity for members to help us make a real difference in our community.”
“Every gift donated provides warmth, comfort, and hope to someone who needs it this festive season, and we’re grateful for everyone who takes part.
“We launched this campaign for the first time last year - the brainchild of Holly Smith, Customer Engagement Team Leader, and Natasha Ustamehmetoglu, Customer Engagement Adviser at our Central store – and it was something that everyone was keen to support, so we are delighted to bring it back as annual event.”

Donated items will be collected and delivered by The Cambridge's Executive and Customer Engagement teams from Wednesday 17 December, ensuring they reach beneficiaries in time for Christmas.
