Cambridge firm assists USA client to rapidly set up employment in 6 European countries

Cambridge and Geneva based firm Compandben International implements an employment outsourcing service for six European countries.

Compandben, based in Geneva and Cambridge, has arranged the outsourced employment of staff for a USA hi-tech hardware client in:

  • Czech Republic - 1 employee
  • France - 5 employees
  • Poland - 2 employees
  • Portugal - 15 employees
  •  Slovenia - 1 employee
  • Switzerland - 1 employee

The employment contracts went out last Friday (10th August). Compandben and its partners will employ the staff until a branch or subsidiary or other legal entity is established by the client and the staff can then be transferred to direct employment in the new branches. The process was complicated because of TUPE legislation, meaning that the employees previous “seniority dates” had to be respected. Slovenia was a late addition. Perhaps Mrs Trump is raising the profile of Slovenia in USA eyes.

Compandben is also providing the same service for this client in eight countries in South America and the Caribbean -including Venezuela:- but the implementation in Europe has been much more rapid.
