Cambridge, UK – 4th August 2026 – Cambridge Forum has announced the seven companies selected to present to the audience at Pitch My Idea, a showcase of a high-calibre group of high growth potential companies with ambitious solutions across AI, health and technology. Pitch My Idea takes place as part of Cambridge Forum at Cambridge Corn Exchange on 11th September 2026 (Day Two).
Cambridge Forum has been designed to bring together UK and international investors, alongside founders, researchers, clinicians, academics, policymakers and technology leaders to provide insights and enable knowledge exchange around one of the most impactful areas of AI - health.
Emblematic of the Forum’s mission to harness tech as a force for good, Pitch My Idea provides a curated opportunity to discover high growth potential companies with the potential to address significant challenges across some of the most important and fast-growing areas of the economy. The programme enables access to a carefully selected group of companies giving them each seven minutes to pitch.
Following a competitive selection process that attracted 131 applications including spin outs, exited founders and grant funded companies, seven innovators have been selected by an eminent panel of judges including Emmi Nicholl, CEO of Cambridge Angels, Ruben Isbitsky, Startup Advisor at St John’s Innovation Centre, Dr Mariya Chhatriwala, Senior Business Development Manager at Wellcome Sanger Institute, Alexandre Béliard, AI Startup Lead at Google Cloud and Gary Dillon, Head of Business Development at Wellcome Sanger Institute. The finalists will pitch live at Cambridge Forum on the second day.
The seven selected companies that will pitch are:
BioHarv –Developing battery-free implantable monitoring technology that enables continuous cardiovascular health monitoring, helping clinicians detect deterioration earlier while improving patient outcomes and reducing avoidable hospitalisations.
BioTryp Therapeutics Ltd – A University of Cambridge spin-out using AI to develop first-in-class antibiofilm therapies that enhance antibiotic effectiveness and address the growing global challenge of antimicrobial resistance.
CellCodex – Developing AI-ready datasets from aged human stem cell models to help pharmaceutical companies identify more effective drug targets for neurodegenerative, liver and metabolic diseases.
Matresa – A regulated maternal health platform using AI to provide continuous support from pregnancy through the first two years after birth, helping identify health risks earlier and improve outcomes for mothers.
NeuroPath Biosciences – Developing an AI-powered diagnostic that combines blood biomarkers and behavioural data to help clinicians identify patients at risk of self-harm earlier and support more informed mental health interventions.
Polytecks – Developing an AI-enabled bioelectrical mapping platform that brings advanced diagnostic capabilities to the point of care, enabling earlier detection of disease through accessible, high-resolution physiological monitoring.
Reneural – Developing an AI-powered neurorehabilitation platform that delivers personalised therapy beyond the clinic, helping stroke and brain injury patients recover more effectively while reducing pressure on healthcare services.
The event comes at a time when investors are increasingly looking for companies capable of combining technological innovation with meaningful commercial and societal impact. The selected founders represent a range of approaches, business models and technologies.
