CIIPM was set up in 2015 to provide half-day training courses in patent search and analysis and practical aspects of understanding IP for commercialisation.

This Spring we offer four half day CIIPM training courses to choose from on 6th and 7th March at Homerton Conference Centre in Cambridge.

Join us on 6th March for the half-day ‘IP & Commercialisation’ course which covers basics of how to develop, commercialise and manage IP.  In the afternoon learn more about patent searching and patents in the Core Patent Search Skills half-day training .

On 7th March we offer a day of intensive patent searching where we focus on advanced skills needed to conduct Commercial Patent Search & Analysis and Freedom to Operate Search & Analysis.   All our trainings include practical sessions allowing the chance to practice skills learnt using commercial databases.

We invite all attendees to join us for lunch, allowing plenty of time for discussion and development of ideas that come up during the sessions with each other, the trainers, Jane and Stuart and the sponsors.  March training day sponsors are: CAS, RWS and Gridlogics.  CAS and Gridlogics are providing userids for all attendees who will be able to try out their patent search databases STN Next (https://www.cas.org/products/stn) and PatSeer (https://patseer.com/ ) respectively.  RWS https://www.rws.com/ provides patent translation services and other IP support functions.

The ‘ Early Bird ‘ rate for each half-day is £150 +VAT and this runs until February 15.   Get a discount for booking two or more courses.

The CIIPM 4th Annual meeting takes place on 3 July 2019.  The theme for this year’s event is ‘ IP and Information Ecosystems’.  We will be focusing on competitive intelligence (CI) for IP portfolio management , using IP information to obtain your own competitive intelligence, company structures and ownership of IP, Artificial Intelligence (AI) , information archiving, and patent examination.
