Cambridge Intelligence, makers of the KeyLines data visualisation toolkit, was shortlisted for the International Business of the Year award at the Business Weekly Awards this week.
The awards, which were handed out at an ‘Oscars-style’ event at Queens College on Tuesday evening, champion the ground-breaking work carried out by companies in Cambridge and the East of England.
Now in their 24th year, the awards have gained a reputation for recognising companies that go on to achieve great success in their fields.
Cambridge Intelligence CEO, Joe Parry, said of the latest accolade: 'We’re very pleased to have made it onto the shortlist for this award. For a young company like Cambridge Intelligence to be listed alongside organisations over a decade old and 50 times our size is fantastic.’
Following a forensic examination of all the entries by law firm Mills & Reeve, 33 companies were shortlisted for the ten categories. Ian Mather, managing partner at Mills & Reeve, described the calibre of entrants as ‘the strongest across the board’ that he could remember in his long association with the awards.
The award for international business of the year was awarded to remote access firm RealVNC, who impressed judges with 12 years of profitability and the billionth installation of their screen share software.
This nomination comes just a few weeks after Cambridge Intelligence was named one of the EverLine Future 50 – a national award recognising the UK’s most innovative and disruptive young companies.
