The admissions team is pleased to announce a 30 per cent female class rate this year, an increase on last’s year cohort and a step forward in its aim for future gender balance. Asset management, engineering and oil and gas represent strong sectors from which the class have been recruited. They do, as ever, bring an exciting mix of supplementary talents to the school including classical music training, the launching of NGOs and human rights activism.
Students have started the two-week ‘Orientation’ period which inducts new MBAs into their class, the School and the University. It is an exciting part of the programme, during which students undertake intensive networking practice and forge friendships before beginning core learning.
The students also attended networking mixers with the new Cambridge Master of Finance class which also launched last week. The School works hard to ensure that students have every opportunity to mix with students from other programmes as well as the wider university, creating foundations for future collaboration that represents the ethos of the business school.
