Cambridge Network's Jobs Fair is a fantastic success

After months of planning and weeks of hard work, the Cambridge Network team is proud to say that its Recruitment Gateway Jobs Fair exceeded all expectations.

The sun was shining and energy levels were high today (Friday). A perfect combination of dynamic employers and several hundred engaged candidates - from all walks of life and levels of experience - seized the opportunity to connect. The beautiful weather and large numbers gave the event an almost festival atmosphere.

The venue at the Hauser Forum was packed to capacity, with people filling the café and courtyard too. Queues to enter the venue provided a chance for people to exchange stories and offer advice.

The atmosphere in the room was buzzing, with crowds three people deep around each employer's table.

The mini workshops - run by Career Management Coach Katherine Wiid from Career Ambitions - were packed, with attendees peering through the doorway because even the standing room was taken. The demand for guidance on CVs, interviews and LinkedIn profiles was such that an extra workshop had to be added.

Feedback at the end of the day has been overwhelmingly positive. The only complaints to be heard were that exhibitors had too much interest from potential candidates to take coffee breaks - and that candidates were overwhelmed by the quality of options available to them!

Despite being exhausted, the Recruitment Gateway team is already looking forward to the next Jobs Fair.
