Cambridge Regional College hosts Jobs Fair for employers and apprentices

Businesses could find their perfect employee at an Apprenticeships Jobs Fair taking place at Cambridge Regional College this week.

Organised after the success of a pilot Jobs Fair held at the college in September, the event – run in partnership with Job Centre Plus – will bring together employers and would-be apprentices.

Businesses and organisations with apprenticeship vacancies have been invited to set up their stands in the college tomorrow (Wednesday 31 October), to talk to job-hunters about the opportunities on offer.

Organiser Phil Stittle, Employer Engagement business development manager at CRC, said the jobs fair was a great opportunity for employers to talk to potential apprentices.

“We held a very successful pilot event in September when Job Centre Plus asked us to help get businesses and job-hunters together,” he said.

“We focused on employers with apprenticeship vacancies and were very pleased with the result – we were able to put dozens of would-be apprentices in touch with organisations with job opportunities.

“We expect the Apprenticeship Jobs Fair in October to attract even more employers and job-hunters – it’s a great way of getting everyone together to find the perfect job or perfect employee.”

The Apprenticeships Jobs Fair takes place at Cambridge Regional College on Wednesday, 31 October from 11am to 2pm. For more information, ring 01223 418778.
