Cambridge Regional College joins key business services consortium

Cambridge Regional College has joined the London Stansted Cambridge Consortium – a group of ten leading Further Education colleges offering services to business.

With colleges seen as a key asset to the growth of the economy, the Consortium will help businesses planning to move or grow in the corridor ensure they have the workforce they need.

Colleges in the London Stansted Cambridge Corridor, which also include Epping, Harlow and Hertford, have long-established partnerships with hundreds of businesses and organisations, and the Consortium will help them promote the region’s economy even further.

Anne Constantine, Principal of CRC, said the colleges were a “key asset” in supplying skills and experience to the economy.

“As a leading Further Education college providing essential training to business and the current workforce as well as the future one, we are delighted to be part of the London Stansted Cambridge Consortium,” she said.

“The colleges are a key asset in supplying the skills and experience to an increasingly highly mobile, advancing economy. Our programmes are up to date, flexible and responsive to the needs of employers.

“A key factor of economic success is making sure new and established businesses have the talented people they need, and that the skills of existing employees keep pace with change – and we can provide them with the training they require.”

Members of the Consortium are also working with the four Local Enterprise Partnerships in the region, supporting them in the development of their strategies and commissioning
priorities.
