The college, one of the leading providers of apprenticeship programmes in the country, will be presenting the award to “an outstanding apprentice or trainee who has demonstrated qualities and skills that exceed expectations”.
Laraine Moody, Head of Employment Engagement at CRC, said she was delighted to sponsor such an important category of the business awards.
“This award will be an acknowledgment to all those apprentices who work hard and make a difference to the company they work for.,” she said.
“Apprenticeships are at the heart of what we do in the Directorate of Employer Engagement at Cambridge Regional College. It is our area of expertise and we understand how employing a good apprentice can be a positive and rewarding experience for a supportive employer.”
The college, which has nearly 4,000 apprentices currently in training, has a long history of working with small and large businesses, locally and regionally, to develop the potential of their staff.
“To date, we have worked with over 380 Suffolk businesses, more than 150 of those based in Newmarket,” said Laraine. “Our training is based on listening to the needs of the local business community and we are looking forward to working more closely with the Chamber and employer members.”
CRC also provides a wide range of business and professional training including professional qualifications, development workshops, e-learning and bespoke training.
The Business Awards will be presented at a gala dinner on 29 November at Woodditton, near Newmarket. For more information on the event, please follow this link.
