James Hotchkiss, News recruitment account executive who is organising the fair – which takes place on Wednesday, January 22 between 10am and 4pm – said: “There’s so much choice. And it’s not just jobs - it’s training courses and apprenticeships as well.”
The fair, held at Cambridge Corn Exchange, is expected to attract up to 5,000 professionals from a wide variety of fields, playing an important role in pushing on Cambridge’s business success.
Angela Hughes, head of apprenticeship programmes at Cambridge Regional College, said: “We’re delighted to sponsor the Job Fair again. It is a great showcase for the opportunities on offer to jobseekers in the region and we will have current apprenticeship vacancies on offer as well as details of professional training programmes which can boost career prospects.
“Cambridge Regional College is one of the country’s leading providers of apprenticeships, which are a fantastic route into employment for young people.
“We are looking forward to talking to employers and job-seekers about our new ‘125 apprentices’ campaign which we are running with the Cambridge News to celebrate the paper’s 125th anniversary.
“We will also be running useful workshops during the Job Fair, focusing on CV-writing skills to help visitors improve their job applications.”
