Cambridge Regional College sponsors leading apprenticeship awards

Cambridge Regional College is sponsoring a top awards competition celebrating the achievements of apprentices and their employers.

The 2015 awards, now in their twelfth year, recognise excellence in businesses developing their workforce through apprenticeships, and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplace.

The college is the lead sponsor of the East of England Apprenticeship Awards, part of the prestigious national Apprenticeship Awards which challenge top apprenticeship employers and apprentices across England to come forward and show how apprenticeships have made a real difference to their organisation and careers.

The regional awards will be presented at a gala dinner at Newmarket racecourse on 27 October, with a number of different prizes to be won, including awards for small employer of the year and apprenticeship champion of the year.

The winners will go forward to the national awards, which take place in London next January.

Angela Hughes, head of apprenticeship programmes at CRC, said the college was delighted to sponsor the awards.

“We are one of the country’s most successful providers of apprenticeships, working with employers across the region, so it is a particular honour to be associated with the country’s leading awards event for apprentices,” she said.
