Cambridge Sustainable Tourism Conference takes precautionary measures against Coronavirus

The ‘Cambridge Sustainable Tourism Conference (CSTC) 2020’ returns on 26th February, after the enormous success of the 2019 conference. The organisers, Cambridge China Centre, have announced special precautionary measures in light of the outbreak of Coronavirus in China and elsewhere.

Following the UK government’s advice on Coronavirus precautions, CSTC 2020 will:

  • only accept UK-based Chinese agents
  • carry out a strict 1:1 survey and request that all attendees have no travel history to mainland China and other specified areas within 14 days prior to the 26th Feb (other specified areas: Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Macau), and all attendees have no close contact with travellers from mainland China and these specified areas within 14 days prior to the 26th Feb
  • provide plenty of Hand Hygiene Gel at the conference
  • encourage a 'hand-shake free' conference.

The outbreak of the novel Coronavirus hits the Chinese and international Tourism industry unprecedentedly. The conference organisers will turn passive waiting into active planning and actions. The ‘2020 Cambridge Sustainable Tourism Conference’ will focus on ‘Showcasing the best of Cambridge & Beyond’ and ‘Enhancing UK|China understanding and collaborations’.

They say: "In tough times, it is more important than ever that we stay together and stay strong!"

There are a handful of  marketing opportunities (one stand, one pitching slot, leaflet in goodie bag & ads in Conference brochure) still available. Please contact the team if you would like to secure the extra publicity opportunities at CSTC 2020.
