Cambridge team in Deloitte Ride across Britain

Deloitte Ride Across Britain (Deloitte RAB)- the annual Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle challenge - will be starting in just a few days’ time and local riders from Deloitte, Lee Maughan, Alice Hawkes and Mark Crook will be taking part.

The three riders, all from the firm’s Entrepreneurial Business Team at Deloitte in Cambridge, will be joined by some of their clients from the Cambridge area including Cambridge based N W Brown, Amadeus Capital Partners and Lincolnshire agribusiness Emmett UK Ltd.  The Ride continues to go from strength to strength. This year, around 700 riders are tackling the epic challenge, cycling nearly 1000 miles over nine days.

The Deloitte Ride Across Britain was launched in 2010.  Now, the inspirational performances of ParalympicsGB at the London 2012 Paralympic Games have helped to tip the fundraising total over the magical £1m mark.  The news is a significant boost to the British Paralympic Association (BPA) which will continue to be the lead benefiting charity for the event this year – resulting in further fundraising as preparations begin for Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016.

Paul Schofield, Deloitte’s Cambridge office senior partner said: “I am immensely proud of the contribution made by Deloitte Ride Across Britain in supporting the BPA.  I am also very proud of the team who will be taking part from our Cambridge office and wish them lots of luck.”
