Cambridge team expansion and firm promotion

Woodfines is pleased to announce two new additions to the Cambridge office.

Martin Smith has joined the firm as a partner in the Commercial department and is a seasoned campaigner with a wealth of commercial and corporate experience. He started his career at Lazard Brothers, and has worked for other leading firms such as Kleinwort Benson, Clyde & Co and Harbottle & Lewis. He has previously been a partner in well known regional firms and of late has been successfully running his own practice.

Senior Associate Solicitor Nic Dino has joined the Cambridge Conveyancing team, having been previously based at our Bedford office. Nic is a specialist in all aspects of residential conveyancing, and prior to joining Woodfines in 2016 he worked for law firms in both Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. He completed his LPC at De Monfort University in Leicester and qualified as a solicitor in 2005, having been practising conveyancing since 2001. Nic brings with him a wealth of experience and a thorough understanding of the sometimes stressful process moving home can be.

We are also delighted to announce that as from 1st October 2017 Maria Koureas - Jones, head of dispute resolution has become a partner in the firm. Maria’s areas of expertise include contractual disputes, director and shareholder disputes, insolvency and commercial property disputes. In addition, she has an expertise in banking and financial services recoveries (with a focus on invoice finance lending recoveries) alongside general commercial debt recovery.
