Cambridge technology company launches innovative new invoice chasing service for SMEs

GentleReminder.net automates credit control processes for busy accounts personnel

Slepe Communications Ltd, a Cambridge-based technology that develops bespoke online SMS services, has launched its latest spin off, GentleReminder.net. This latest innovation enables commercial organisations to better manage their cash flow by automating their invoice chasing processes.

This new service allows small businesses to do away with their laborious invoice chasing methods by sending email messages to customers on their behalf, informing that an invoice has not been paid.

The service simply requires the user to set up an account and created a profile. When they have done this they can add their customer information and debtor reports (information that is readily available on most accounts systems), to their profile to trigger the messaging process.  The system’s bespoke software uses this information to determine which invoices are overdue and sends a reminder message accordingly.

Reminders messages are currently sent as emails but Slepe is planning to launch alternative message options (text, letter and phone call) as soon as possible to give service users greater flexibility.

The user can upload their debtor list on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, depending on requirements or working practices. GentleReminder.net’s bespoke software cross-refers the most recent list with previously uploaded information. If an invoice from an existing list does not feature on a subsequent list, for example, GentleReminder.net will presumes that it has been paid and not send any further reminder messages for that particular invoice.  The service is compatible most accounts systems.

The service is fully configurable and users have total control over the email messages being sent, including their content and frequency. In addition, different control parameters can be put in place, to ensure certain customers are never contacted, for example.

All data is stored in accordance with current legislation on high-availability servers located in the UK. The service uses the latest SSL encryption technology to protect all data as it is transferred between locations. Gentle Reminder.net is also registered with the Information Commissioner.

Says Rob Jagger, CEO and Founder of Slepe Communications: “I am really excited about GentleReminder.net.  I believe it will become an invaluable service to small businesses because it saves precious time and resource. Slepe Communications has recently made significant enhancements to its own internal infrastructure to further improve its high standards of customer service; this would not have been possible if we had experienced cash flow issues!

The service is already being used by Slepe Communications existing brands, enabling them to make the best use of available time and resource and improve cash flow accordingly.

FREE trials are currently available for anyone wishing to be an early adopter of the service.
