Cambridge Trauma Conference is aimed at health care professionals

Following last year’s extremely successful Cambridge Trauma Conference, Addenbrooke's Post Graduate Medical Centre is delighted to bring you another in its wake – in a similar format yet with totally new content. The event takes place on 12th and 13th March 2015 at The Møller Centre, Storey’s Way, Cambridge.

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) has an international reputation as a centre of excellence for trauma care and research. This is a multi-professional conference addressing innovative trauma care across the entire patient pathway, from roadside to recovery, through a series of seminars and interactive workshops.

The Conference is suitable for health professionals working in the following areas:

Pre Hospital Care and Emergency Departments including Paediatrics; Critical Care and Acute Rehabilitation (Doctors, Consultants and Trainees, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dieticians, Pharmacists and Paramedics)

The conference is split into two days, each running independently:  Day One is Adult Trauma (12 March) and Day Two is Paediatric Trauma (13 March)

12 March: Adult Trauma programme includes

  • “Intrusive Images Following Trauma” Professor Emily Holmes, MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit

13 March: Paediatric Trauma programme includes

  • “Early Resuscitation in Paediatric Trauma” Dr Karl Thies, Consultant Anaesthetist
  • “Transport considerations for severely injured critical children” Dr Padmanabhan Ramnarayan, Consultant, Paediatric Retrievals and Paediatric ICU
  • “Paediatric Surgical Injuries and Management” Mr Andy Robb, Paediatric Surgeon
  • “Paediatric Trauma Simulation” Dr Helen Baillie, Consultant Acute Paediatrics and                          
  •  Dr Khurram Iftikar, Paediatric ED, CUH

The cost for this two day conference is £85 per day (no concessions)
