Cambridge Winter Beer Festival offers seasonal beers and new breweries

The Cambridge Beer Festival Winter 2019 opens today (Wednesday) at the University Social Club (USC) on Mill Lane.

The Cambridge & District branch of CAMRA – the Campaign for Real Ale – will be welcoming all from 5pm to 10:30pm today (13 November), 12 noon to 3:00pm and 5:00pm until 10:30pm on Thursday 14 and Friday 15, and 12 noon to 10:30pm on Saturday 16.

Cambridge CAMRA’s Winter beer festival gives drinkers the chance to try seasonal beers that aren’t available when we hold the main festival is held in May. There will be over 80 real ales from over 45 breweries to choose from. Most of the local branch’s breweries will be represented including two new ones, Burwell and Pastore breweries, that haven’t previously had beer at Cambridge festivals. The British beer list is already available online, whetting the appetites of customers.

Aa range of draught international beer plus ciders and perries will also be available. The USC will be serving food at all sessions.

Entry is free on Thursday and Friday lunchtimes, and free for CAMRA and CURAS members at all times. Otherwise, entrance is £3 for the session, or £1 for USC members.

As always, CAMRA beer festivals are run entirely by volunteers. If you’d like to help speak to any volunteer on the day or visit the website to sign up.
