Cambridgeshire Chambers seeks representation on Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Committee

The Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Chamber is looking to enhance its committee by recruiting new representatives.

As the largest in the region, the Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Chamber is the main contributor to Chambers of Commerce activities in the area. This Chamber committee represents the largest group of local businesses and feeds directly into the Chambers’ Board of Governors.

The Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Chamber has a diverse membership, ranging from sole-traders right through to companies spanning multinational operations across a broad range of sectors. To best serve these members, it is imperative that the committee is representative of the many types and sizes of businesses in the area.

Positions are open to existing members and non-Chamber members who are willing to join the Chamber to take a seat on the committee.

The committee focuses on three key aspects of business activity - tackling bigger issues as a collective, including the green agenda and workforce shortages across the region; influencing decision-making on local issues and regional policy such as city access, the upskilling of local labour and transportation in the region; and Chamber projects including its events programme, training and workshops on subjects ranging from supply chain to skills shortages.

Faye Holland, Chair of the Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Committee and Founder and Director of multi-award-winning PR and Marketing consultancy cofinitive, commented: “I really want to encourage business leaders to join us on the committee – to provide a voice and really make a difference. This is your opportunity to be part of a network of businesses that truly represents Cambridge and South Cambs - to shape the services and opportunities that local businesses are provided and to ensure the businesses in the region have a voice on topics that matter to them.”

If you’d be interested in sharing your expertise by taking a seat on the Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Chamber Committee please register an expression of interest by emailing chamber@cambscci.co.uk by Tuesday 30 November. The team will then reach out to candidates during December with a view to onboarding new committee members in the new year.
