As the county's leading charitable foundation, CCF works with donors, businesses, charities and community groups to strengthen local communities and address emerging needs across Cambridgeshire. The Foundation recently reached a significant milestone, having distributed more than £40 million in grant funding to local causes since its inception.
The current recruitment campaign presents an opportunity for experienced and committed individuals to contribute to the strategic direction of a well-established and highly respected charitable organisation. In particular, the Foundation is seeking a new Chair of Trustees to succeed the current Chair and help guide the board in delivering its long-term vision.
The Foundation is keen to hear from people with strong judgement, leadership experience and a commitment to improving the lives of local residents. Previous Trustee experience is welcomed but not essential. The Foundation is interested in applications from individuals with a broad range of professional backgrounds and is committed to building a diverse board that reflects the communities it serves.
Trustees play a vital role in overseeing the Foundation's governance, strategy and financial sustainability, while acting as ambassadors for its work throughout Cambridgeshire. The new appointments will help shape how the organisation responds to future opportunities and challenges, ensuring continued support for charities, voluntary organisations and community initiatives across the county.
Michael O'Toole, Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, said:
"This is an exciting moment for the Foundation as we build on the impact we've achieved over recent years. Having distributed more than £40 million to support communities across Cambridgeshire, we are now looking for talented and committed people who can help shape our future. Whether applying for the Chair role or as a Trustee, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to communities across the county."
