Both courses mentioned, Level 3 Training, Principles and Practices and Level 3 Education and Training are qualifications for teaching within the workplace.
The Level 3 Training, Principles and Practices (TPP) replaces the CIEH Level 3 Award in Training Skills and Practice. It comprises Unit 2 of the CIEH Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
The CIEH Level 3 Award in Training – Principles and Practice is based on the double unit of the CIEH Level 3 Award in Education and Training
- Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
This course is a short, introductory, knowledge-based training qualification and has no minimum practice requirement – except to engage in a short microteaching session. It is aimed at those who are not currently in a training role or who have just started a training role and who want to develop practical training skills and/or meet the minimum training requirement.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Teaching (E&T) - In response to recommendations made by a government-commissioned independent review panel, teaching qualifications have been simplified and renamed.
This qualification replaces the CIEH Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
This qualification is designed for people who:
- are not in a teaching role, or who have just started a teaching role
- want a short qualification
- want a qualification without a minimum teaching practice requirement
The CIEH Level 3 Award in Education and Training provides an introduction to teaching and comprises three units:
- Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
- Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
- Understanding assessment in education and training
This qualification is designed for people who are not currently in a teaching role, or who have just started a teaching role and want a qualification without a minimum teaching practice requirement.
These generic ‘train the Trainer’ courses are suitable for managers, proprietors, trainers and other personnel with a specific responsibility for the training and learning support of others.
The venue is in Peterborough.
The length of course is:
- TPP is three days - 10th, 11th and 12th November 2014.
- E&T is five days - 10th, 11th, 12th and 18th, 19th November 2014.
