The project is to build a worldwide innovation platform for the application of biosensors in the early stage diagnosis of cancer. It is generally recognised that early stage cancer diagnosis significantly increases the chances of a cure. While there is a global effort to identify cancer biomarkers, development of sensors to detect these biomarkers has not kept pace.
