CfBI Innovation Summit moves online

Taking place on 30 June and 1 July and sponsored by Silicon Valley Bank, the event - now in its sixth year - is described as offering 'inspiration, insight and action for thought leaders from the world's best companies who are shaping the global innovation landscape.'

CfBI's founder Peter Hewkin says: "Learn with thought  leaders including Emmanuel Lagarrigue, Chief Innovation Officer at Schneider; Julia Sutcliffe, Chief Technology Officer at BAe Systems, Sybo Dijkstra, Head of Data Strategy and AI at Philips, and Kenji Takeda, Director of Health and AI partnerships Microsoft Research.

"This year our tried and tested formula will be moving to Zoom - enabling delegates locked down around the world to engage with us. We will be using break-out rooms to enable delegates to work in smaller groups on themes that are important to them. We will also arrange 'pods' where delegates can speak 1-2-1.

"We are also laying on:

  • A ‘Curated Matching’ event so that corporate delegates can meet early stage companies from Cambridge and beyond which meet their requirements
  • A deep-dive AI case study from AVEVA
  • Keynote address from Warren East – CEO of Rolls-Royce plc
  • Breakout Rooms and Chat Pods so that delegates can meet/discuss in small video groups
  • Meta Huddles in virtual spaces where delegates can discuss possible future consortia including:

- Rapid Decarbonisation
- Doing good, Better
- Engaging with Asia
- COVID19 Business Response
- Cybersecurity & Trust
- Commercial Drones."
