On Father’s Day (21st June) the Roar Family Fun Day means barbeque and bouncy (man-sized) inflatables! Tuck-in at the Bar-B with a pint in hand or get stuck in with the kids on the “toys”.
For sports fans there’s a chance to meet the big-hitters (literally) at the Sporting Heroes Dinner on 2nd July, as boxing legend Billy Schwer comes to Roar. Alongside him will be rugby union giant Leon Lloyd. Leon has a collection of England caps which have pride of place in his stunning career.
If Dad fancies something with even more punch, the White Collar Boxing tournament happens on 4th July, as office workers take to the ring to test themselves for a few rounds! Ringside will be boxing legends Maurice Hope, James Cook and Darren Hamilton.
If it’s just plain relaxation with a pint, then Dad can pull up a stool at the Watering Hole beer festival this weekend (19th and 20th June) or share a great meal and have a few laughs at the comedy and curry night Roar with Laughter on 26th June.
All Roar 2015 events take place at the Quy Mill Hotel and Spa.

With 18 events across 23 days – there’s something for all the family at The Cambridge Roar 2015 – see www.thecambridgeroar.co.uk for more prices and to book tickets.
The Cambridge Roar is now in its second year, this year bigger and better with 18 events over 23 days – something for every member of the family. The Roar runs from Friday June 19th for 3 weeks, culminating with a Gala Ball and Grand Wedding Fair.
Last year the Roar website had over 10,000 visits per month from those interested in having a Roaring good time and the marquee and hotel were hosts to more than 800 guests over the festival period. The Roar Board were able to give £5,000 to the Prince’s Trust as a result, but this year we want to give more to both our chosen charities.
Aided by a variety of generous local sponsors (see below) The Cambridge Roar 2015 is supporting two charities this year – The Prince’s Trust, the UK’s leading youth charity and also the Cambridge based Arthur Rank Hospice. The hospice are dedicated to providing specialist palliative care and support to adult patients, their family, friends and carers, relieving sickness and suffering of people with life limiting conditions in Cambridgeshire and surrounding area.
