The charity, which provides psychological support to children with brain tumours and their families, is hosting the event at the July Course and is being supported by Newmarket Jockey Club.
The event hopes to raise £40,000 for the charity which will enable Tom’s Trust psychologists help 40 children for a full year.

‘’We are our really excited about our 2022 Race Day event at Newmarket. This event aims to raise £40,000 - enough to provide one Tom’s Trust Clinical Psychologist for an entire year at a Tom’s Trust centre.
A Tom’s Trust psychologist supports approximately 360 children a year, as well as supporting their families too. Our work is vital; the basic NHS provision is not designed to manage the complex psychological requirements of young brain tumour patients. Without the tailored and complete provision offered by Tom’s Trust, it simply would not exist in any UK hospital.”

“We’re really happy to support Tom’s Trust with its first ever race day. It is a charity with a great purpose, and we’ve been actively involved in fundraising for the charity for some time. This prestigious launch event will hopefully become an annual occurrence and promises to be a fun-filled day for everyone who attends.”
In addition to the races, there will also be a charity auction, gourmet lunch and afternoon tea.
Auction lots confirmed so far include an exclusive morning on the gallops at Newmarket followed by Champagne Breakfast with Sean Woods and four tickets to attend Newmarket Races; a luxury holiday hideaway at a private lodge in rural Suffolk, and a private tour of Godolphin’s Dalham Hall stud in Suffolk with an afternoon’s racing at Rowley Mile Racecourse.
Tables are still available with sponsorship packages starting at £1500 for a table of 10. There are several hospitality packages to choose from, as well as additional sponsorship opportunities.
