Event organiser and Ormiston’s very own “Ms Monopoly”, Nicki Hayes, believes that The Big Monopoly Challenge is a great way for a business to breathe life into their corporate social responsibility while getting a chance to network with like-minded local businesses.
She said: “We’re looking to recruit 25 local businesses to take part in the Challenge with the hope that we can raise up to £50,000 for Ormiston.”
“I have always been convinced that the work done by the Ormiston Children and Families Trust is vital to the well-being of our regions families so I’m excited at the prospect of raising the much needed funds.”
Ormiston has been serving young people across East Anglia for over 20 years and currently runs over 40 services across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Bedfordshire.
Their work includes a number of children’s centres, providing children’s visits across the region’s prisons and support for parents through a range of parenting services.
The Challenge
‘The Big Monopoly Challenge’, is a clever twist on everyone’s favourite board game and the ultimate team-building challenge.
Participants will be asked to make their first move on specially commissioned ‘Big Monopoly Challenge’ Mat by rolling the dice and moving the equivalent number of spaces. They will land on a fundraising challenge with the aim to raise at least the amount stated on the mat before rolling again.
Contestants can roll as often as they like, but must commit to one roll a week and to sharing their achievements in our Big Monopoly Challenge Facebook Group so other contestants can track their progress.
‘The Big Monopoly Challenge Awards Evening’, a fun filled celebration at The Bildeston Crown in Suffolk on the evening of 31 March will award those who have raised the most or approached the challenge in the most innovative way.
Only 25 organisations can take part in this initiative. To find out more, or register your interest whilst places are available, please contact Nicki Hayes on 01473 705023 or email [email protected].
