Blue Smile is seeking a new volunteer Treasurer after the retirement of Chris O'Connor from the role after six years of service. Chris, a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years' experience in the high technology sector, has made a valuable contribution to the charity's financial governance during his time as Treasurer.
The Treasurer plays a vital role in helping ensure the charity remains financially strong, sustainable and able to continue delivering life-changing support to children across Cambridgeshire. The Treasurer Trustee is the Board’s lead on financial governance and oversight, working closely with fellow trustees and the Charity Director. The role is strategic rather than operational and focuses on ensuring good financial management, sustainability and compliance.
This is a voluntary role with approximately 4-6 hours time commitment per month.
