- Ryanair’s new routes to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cologne boost daily frequencies at Stansted

Further scheduled destinations joining Stansted’s network this winter, giving passengers from East of England and London even greater choice, include Prague, Athens, Larnaca and Dundee. The new additions take the number of scheduled destinations this winter to over 160 and increased flight frequencies now mean passengers have the choice of eight departures a day to Dublin, five to Glasgow, six to Edinburgh, five to Cologne and four to Barcelona which is particularly great news for business passengers.
Another take-off this week will be the opening of Next’s largest tax-free store in the UK, the latest milestone in the £80million terminal investment taking place to transform services and facilities for passengers. With M&S Simply Food due to open next month, new cafes trading before Christmas and work underway to build the new Escape Lounge, there are many more exciting developments to come.
Speaking about developments at Stansted, the Airport’s Managing Director Andrew Harrison said:“Boosting daily connections to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cologne and the arrival of more new routes onto the winter schedules clearly demonstrates the increase in choice and return to growth now taking place at Stansted.
“We’re now the fastest growing airport in London – annual passenger numbers increased by over 8% last month and monthly passenger numbers by a record 14% - and we’re not just maintaining our number one position as the leading UK airport for scheduled connections across Europe but expanding that network even wider.”
