Venturefest East brings together innovators, successful entrepreneurs and investors to make things happen in order to create new business opportunities and help innovative businesses to grow. Over 400 delegates are expected to attend Venturefest East to showcase the innovation taking place in the region.

The event includes keynotes on innovation, a pitching competition and an innovation showcase.

Below, Caroline Hopkins, ENGIE’s Development Director (UK & Ireland), answers a few questions about ENGIE's innovation programme in the United Kingdom:

Why is ENGIE a partner of Venturefest East ?

ENGIE has an impressive innovation programme, aimed at identifying internal “intrapreneurs” and external “start-up” businesses that can work with us to develop our business models of the future. As part of this programme, we are actively looking for start-up businesses.

We are delighted to sponsor the East of England Venturefest as this will allow us to meet and mix with start-up businesses, entrepreneurs, business advisors, incubators - indeed the whole innovation “eco system” in the East of England.

How is ENGIE participating in this event ?

ENGIE will chair Session 2 – The Fast & Furious Pitch-off at Venturefest East, which takes place from 11:30am to 1 pm on 24th May with the best 12 finalists in the region. See more

This is a unique opportunity for innovative companies to benchmark themselves against others in other sectors, and to receive great publicity among the national and international investment community and multinational companies.
