CPM writes: We were contacted by Delta Publishing to reformat files from InDesign to Mobi for publishing on the Kindle device. This has been a great opportunity for our enthusiastic team to develop their already substantial skill set in yet another area of digital production. .
We were supplied with the original InDesign files and PDFs. We were tasked to create Mobi files for publishing on the Kindle device using the supplied InDesign files. The five titles that we created for Delta Publishing were Digital Play, Spotlight on Learning Styles, Teaching Online, Teaching Unplugged and The Developing Teacher. There were a number of images for each title, with no two images the same. Setting the layout wasn't as straightforward as other ebook formats, but probably the biggest challenge was creating a table of contents as this was the first time we had been asked to do this within a Mobi file.
Our determined team mastered the complexities of the project and have used this as a positive learning curve and we are pleased to have yet another service we can confidently offer to our clients.
