Creativity and Curiosity is a new project led by Acuity Arts, which is collaborating with three artists, Ione Parkin RWA, Alison Lochhead and Gillian McFarland, whose work draws connections and inspiration from astronomy and space.
Last year the team secured a small grant from the Royal Astronomical Society to engage with Astronomers, astrophysicists, researchers and scientists to create new dialogue and discussion about space and astronomy.
This encouraged both the artists and astronomers to discuss and critique their own work, taking on board new experiences, learning and ways of seeing, as both groups explored the subject from opposing views.
Acuity Arts are matchmakers, bringing together the worlds of business and the arts.
We manage commissions for new artworks, source art for offices, venues and public spaces and we curate temporary and permanent exhibitions. We're also accomplished at devising and facilitating creative workshops and corporate social responsibility initiatives at workplaces and in the wider community.
