What a fantastic day!
The event was attended by many local colleges and businesses including CUB (UK) Ltd, who were there discussing “Routes to Work”, including apprenticeships.
Kelby Twyman and James Smy spent the day chatting to the pupils about their career choices and the opportunities available in the energy industry.
“Careers days are a valuable asset to those in education, even for those who are unsure of their chosen path. It was good to open some young adults minds by showing them the opportunities available to them, be it university, work experience or apprenticeships.” – Kelby Twyman
James Smy is a former pupil at Cromwell and his brother Isaac, former head boy, is in the 6th form. He said: “It was a really fulfilling experience to be able to return to my old school and give back to the career fair that I remember attending myself only a few years ago – I like to think that CUB gave valuable and helpful advice to the current students of Cromwell Community College and hope that they felt the same way in return - I’d like to say good luck to all the students and hope that they do well in whatever path they choose going forward, especially if it’s in the energy industry!”
