The event, which was held during volunteers' week and on the weekend of the patrons' lunch, was also to celebrate her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday and to thank volunteers for their hard work and dedication in supporting bereaved adults, children and young people.
The event - attended by 75 volunteers - was organised and funded by donors, friends and supporters in recognition of the amazing work that the Charity does to provide somewhere to turn when someone dies. Last year Cruse volunteers donated over 14,000 hours of their time to provide advice, information and one to one bereavement support as well as providing telephone support, coffee groups in Cambridge and Ely and a specialist group for people bereaved by suicide.
