Daniel Zeichner has a cuppa

Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner will have a cuppa with workers from across Cambridge on their tea breaks today (Friday 27th March) at 3pm - and it will all take place online, in aid of a good cause.

They will be taking part in Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust’s virtual tea break to help raise money for the city’s NHS heroes. The trust is encouraging everyone who is now working at home to set up a virtual tea break at 3pm** every day.

Attendees are donating £3, the average price of a takeaway drink.

The money will help fund emotional and physical well-being for staff on the frontline of the coronavirus crisis as well as iPads to allow families of patients in intensive care to communicate with their loved ones.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “The advice is clear: stay at home to protect the NHS and help save lives. That means thousands of people across the city are working from home, so why not get together (virtually of course) for a cup of tea with others. I know I’ll enjoy my cuppa even more knowing that we are raising money to help our NHS heroes.”

Once teatime is over people can donate here>>>

** Cambridge Network's team is planning a virtual tea break at 3pm today too - where the only rule is to talk about anything BUT work! Ed.
