Hosted by The Network Products Guide, the industry’s leading technology research and advisory guide, the IT World Awards honour outstanding achievements in the IT industry. Darktrace received the prestigious accolade for its disruptive technology, rapid growth, and fundamentally new approach to cyber security.

The Enterprise Immune System leverages advances in machine learning and probabilistic mathematics to mimic the self-learning intelligence of the human immune system. Unlike traditional approaches that try to stop pernicious threats at the border, Darktrace defends networks from the inside out. The artificial intelligence algorithms self-learn the normal ‘pattern of life’ for a network and are able to detect and autonomously respond to emerging cyber-attacks in real time.

In less than four years, Darktrace’s machine-learning technology has identified over 30,000 serious in-progress attacks across 2,400 deployments. The company has experienced 600% year-on-year growth and its disruptive technology has been repeatedly acknowledged as the clear leader in AI-based cyber defense.

“We are thrilled to receive the ‘Best IT Company of the Year’ award,” commented Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “We can no longer deny that that cyber-threats are capable of moving at machine speeds, wreaking havoc before human teams have even had time to notice. Darktrace’s AI is uniquely capable of slowing down or stopping in-progress cyber-attacks, buying back crucial time for IT teams to respond.”
