TWI is encouraging companies to submit nominations for a new technology engineering award for companies that have made significant impact with a technology, product or service in international or emerging markets. The new category has been introduced to the Cambridge News Business Excellence Awards list to highlight technology impact overseas.

‘Cambridge is a global centre for developing novel technologies. But this is only the first step; the key is to convert technologies into products and services and then exploit business opportunities in new and exciting markets. And these buoyant markets are increasingly overseas and will remain so for decades to come,' said Christoph Wiesner, Chief Executive, TWI.

The TWI Award for Technology Engineering in International Markets takes its place alongside the Cambridge News’ Business Innovation, Start-up of the Year; Employer of the Year; Small Business of the Year; Business Person of the Year; Outstanding Contribution; and Business of the Year Awards.
