Deadline looms for MBA project proposals

Time is running out for project proposals for companies which could benefit from market research carried out by a team of enthusiastic MBA students. Cambridge Judge Business School is looking for companies to work with students on the Cambridge Venture Project (CVP) during the Michaelmas term (October – December 2013). But hurry - the deadline for submissions is 10 September.

Cambridge Judge Business School is inviting proposals for its Cambridge Venture Projects (CVP). CVPs offer you the chance to have a team of Cambridge MBA students work on a market problem of your choosing. This is a great way to get fresh, intelligent insights and objective market evaluations. For students, CVPs present an opportunity to understand some of the challenges faced by organisations pursuing new ventures.

If your company is considering a new venture and could benefit from 'real' market analysis from a team of bright and resourceful MBA students, Cambridge Judge Business School would like to hear from you.

Past CVPs have covered a variety of problem areas, including:

  • investigating market opportunities for new technologies, services or treatments
  • evaluating consumer behaviour and competitive forces in relation to these, using qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques
  • generating insights into potential strategies and opportunities for commercialisation and possible routes to market.

Deadline for submissions is 10 September. Once your project has been selected, the team will work part-time for the next six weeks in their teams, with the final deliverable to you being a presentation of their findings and recommendations at Cambridge Judge Business School during 9-12 December 2013.

No fee is charged other than out of pocket expenses - any project expenses necessary for the CVP are met by the client and reimbursed directly to the student team. You, as client, will own the IP.

Proposals can be submitted using an online form here.  You will be informed by 1 October 2013 if you have been successful in securing a CVP team. You will then develop the brief with the team.

Cambridge MBA students are mature professionals from over 40 countries who participate in a 12-month MBA programme. They represent a wide range of sectors and job functions, and all students have excellent business and academic references. The average work experience for the class is seven years.
