Degree Apprenticeships help to build a new generation of technology talent

Launching this September, Anglia Ruskin University’s new Degree Apprenticeship in Digital Technology Solutions represents a fantastic opportunity for businesses to enhance the skills of their talented, tech-savvy employees, or to attract and develop new talent.

The Government’s co-funding model for degree apprenticeships means that companies can now sponsor an employee to gain a relevant work-based degree qualification using  Apprenticeship Levy funds, or for non-levy paying organisations at as little as 10% of the cost of a standard university degree.

Shaped in consultation with some of the region’s leading tech employers, including Bango, AVEVA and Redgate, Anglia Ruskin's programme provides the skills for in-demand roles such as Software Engineering, Cyber Security Analysis and Network Engineering.

Benefits for your organisation

  • Gain a highly-skilled graduate with relevant skills and an intimate working knowledge of your business and culture.
  • Retain your most valuable people, by encouraging them to grow and develop within your organisation.
  • Shape your business for the future by investing in skills and learning priorities.
  • Establish your company as an ‘employer of choice’.

Who could you sponsor?

The Degree Apprentice must be a full-time employee who also studies with Anglia Ruskin University. He or she can be an existing team member or a new recruit, of any age, and at any point in their career.
