Deloitte Cambridge welcomes 23 new graduates and Brightstart apprentices

Deloitte in Cambridge has 23 new starters, including 15 graduates and eight Brightstart apprenticeship students who have recently completed their A-levels.

The mix of students reflects the different recruitment programmes the firm now has in place to attract the most promising new talent. The intake also brings the total number based at their city office, which delivers Audit, Tax, Consulting and Corporate Finance advice, to over 250 employees.

“This is always an exciting time for us,” commented Paul Schofield, Office Senior Partner at Deloitte in Cambridge. “These new starters are the future of our business and so we work hard to ensure our training programmes are second-to-none in supporting them and their future career.”

The students are all now undergoing their induction, initial practical and theoretical training programme, providing an in-depth understanding of the business whilst also developing key skills applicable to their part of the business.

Schofield continued; “We are growing our East Anglian practice, widening the services we offer to our clients. Our clients cover the full breadth of the region and the UK.  We also have a growing International practice, with Cambridge teams working on projects all around the globe. We continue to recruit – and are currently looking for newly qualified accountants.”
