Deloitte remains constant with 1,750 opportunities for school leavers and graduates

Deloitte today opens applications for 1,750 entry level positions into the firm, including 1,200 graduate roles.

The firm offers a variety of entry level positions that include jobs for school leavers after A-levels, positions for students during their university course and graduates.  Deloitte welcomes applications from students at any school or university, with any degree discipline, and looks for individuals who have gained work experience alongside academic qualifications.

Paul Schofield, Office Senior Partner at Deloitte in Cambridge, said:  “It is excellent news for young people that across the firm we have 1,750 entry level positions available.  The number of positions remains constant from last year, and we look forward to receiving applications over the coming months.  One piece of advice for those who want to apply - is to submit their applications as early as possible.  The positions are very popular across the UK and research will need to be put into every application submission to ensure students are applying for a sector that suits their career needs.  All who meet the basic requirements will be considered.”

The range of positions available means a student can start their professional career on completing their A-levels, through the BrightStart scheme. This programme allows students to study towards a professional qualification in audit, tax or corporate finance.  BrightStart students can complete their qualification straight from school.

 Other positions available include:

Summer Vacation Scheme - a three week paid work experience placement with the firm

  • Industrial placements - for students on a four-year university course who require a six or 12 month placement as part of their degree
  • Scholar Scheme - offers students the opportunity to take a gap year before university, where they will work at the firm for a percentage of the year and are then given a bursary so they can travel for the remainder of the year.  The student is then provided with a further bursary towards their university fees and can complete paid work experience with the firm throughout their course
  • Graduate programme - 1,200 positions for graduates who achieve a minimum 2:1 degree.
