None of this would be possible without amazing sponsors. For the fourth year running Pulsar, Cambridge based LED Manufacturer, will be supplying thousands of pounds worth of equipment for e-Luminate Cambridge, the city's light Festival.
The TTP Group and The Marshall Group are among the other top tier sponsors together with Barr Ellison, Hawthorn, Philips Lighting and Panasonic who have chosen to renew their support for the upcoming event.
New businesses have also signed up to the 2016 edition of this much loved public event; most notably Arup, the consulting engineers giant, and Lumie, Cambridge based light therapy experts.
This is the fourth year this volunteer organisation – the e-Luminate Foundation – has succeeded in engaging with their sponsors and volunteers’ efforts to bring together such a high quality programme of events, now live on the website.
On Friday 12th February, the exciting launch night will kick off with the installation switch on, and a concert by The Dowsing Sound Collective at Great St Mary's Church. Beautiful choral voices in a beautiful setting. The organisers say: "We are sure it will be an exhilarating event!"
Tickets can be purchased here.
"We envisage people spilling out of the concert, on to the market square to enjoy the first ever arts&crafts night market, then wandering around the city to take in the sights of the projections and installations.
"Many iconic buildings will take on a whole new look, and the event offers a unique opportunity to discover the richness and diversity of Cambridge's iconic buildings and public spaces - literally in a new light!"
